When Vancouver-based professional actor Allan Morgan hit a dry-spell he did what most actors do in that situation; he got another job, as a mail clerk in the mailroom of a union headquarters building. Embracing his new role with the same enthusiasm and dedication he applied to his life in theatre, Allan suddenly found himself in the middle of a lockout and on the picket line with his union sisters and brothers. I Walked The Line takes audiences on a roller coaster ride of emotions; a celebration of solidarity and the people who fought for change; and Allan’s personal experiences keeping spirits up while soles, and souls, were fraying.
I Walked The Line is a Bread and Roses Theatre Production, Sponsored by The Other Guys Theatre.
Whatever your political stance on unions and strikes, “I Walked the Line” reminds us that revenge can sometimes best be served as a clever piece of political theatre. John Threlfall, Review, Victoria
It is intimate, passionate and sometimes excruciatingly painful as Morgan takes us through those days – some dark, some light.
