TheatreOne COVID-19 Update
When we last communicated with you, in early March, we were still optimistic that the situation facing us with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak would resolve and that we might be able to bring you the remainder of our season in May, possibly June.
How quickly things changed. With no end in sight, and the ramifications of this pandemic unknown and unknowable on so many fronts, it has proven impossible to reschedule our remaining Fringe Flicks showings, Ordinary Love and And The Birds Rained Down. We have also indefinitely postponed our planned workshop of an exciting new script, Wild Geese, which we still hope to see through to production in our 2020/21 season.
Many of you will be subscribers to Fringe Flicks. We regret that circumstances have forced this cancellation of these last two films, and we hope that you will continue to take advantage of this wonderful film series in the future, when we are once again able to again come together to enjoy outstanding cinema.
Like so many Arts organizations, TheatreOne has been hard-hit by this pandemic. If you would like reimbursement for the two films you will have missed in this shortened season we would be happy to provide a partial refund. If, however, you are able to consider the remainder of your subscription a donation to TheatreOne in our efforts to continue through this difficult period and bring a new season to Nanaimo in the fall, this would be greatly appreciated. Please get in touch if you have questions or wish to pursue this further.
What we are living through is unprecedented. We wish you good health, we thank you for your continued support and we hope to see you once again in our theatres this fall.
With warmest appreciation,
Board of Directors
