Entering its 38th season, Vancouver Opera In Schools has introduced more than 1.5 million young people and their families to the power and beauty of opera in their own schools and communities. This opera is full of lively tunes, fast-paced fun,comical characters and a few added surprises. Perfect for young audiences (kindergarten to grade 7), Hansel & Gretel is brought to life in an enchanting English adaptation of Englebert Humperdinck's full length opera, Hansel und Gretel. Hansel & Gretel is 45 minutes long, followed by a short Q&A and sung in English by four singers, accompanied by a pianist.

These fully staged and costumed operas have been adapted into English for students and families.
